Planet Chairs is a chair programme that combines design and ergonomics in a highly versatile proposal. A collection created to offer multiple aesthetic options without compromising on comfort.

The concept is based on a clear idea: allowing full chair customisation. Inspired by models such as Mili, Lalo, Ginger and Fred where each piece could be differentiated through upholstery we go one step further by introducing a system of interchangeable backrests.

The result is a collection with 4 seat options and 10 backrest designs, which can be mixed and matched to create unique configurations.

Planet Chairs is currently available with a metal rod structure, offering a lighter and more contemporary look.

We have developed an innovation that consists of a system equipped with a joint in the backrest to allow the backrest to rotate with the user’s movement and adapt to the position of the back.

Mars is an elegant and very comfortable chair design, perfect for any living room or dining room. It is inspired by the Planet Chairs collection, but in this case, the structure is made of beech wood, which gives it a more conventional style, but original at the same time.

Ergonomic Comfort

We present an important innovation, hidden behind these chairs’ backs, that provides an amazing comfort not known so far. We explain it following these lines.

We have developed a chair that offers perfect ergonomic comfort while we are eating, supporting the back perfectly, but also allows us to achieve a slightly reclined position for the table talk without endangering the integrity of the user or the construction of the chair.

To achieve this goal, we have designed a backrest with a slightly curved shape that holds our back in a natural and ergonomic way.

Thus, when the user sits completely upright, the backrest obtains a perfectly straight position that fully supports the user’s back. And when we prefer a more relaxed position, (drinking coffee or after a meal), just by moving the sitting position forward a few centimetres, the backrest accompanies our back until we achieve an inclination close to 30 degrees, thanks to its curved shape and the rotation with retention. We have already requested a patent for this invention.
